Manual SMT rework
Rework is the professional term for the refinishing operation or repair of an electronic assembly (PCBA) in the Surface Mount Technology. Mass processing techniques are not applicable to single device repair and / or replacement, so specialized techniques are required to replace defective components – most notably area array packages such as BGA devices.
